Yes, It's Complicated part two
by Cindy Bennett Edited Wednesday, March 09, 2011
21st Sensory, our 25 highly trained “expert” Sensory descriptive panelists provide the objective, analytical insight to answer our client’s questions like: Does a new package keep lettuce “fresher” longer? How much “cleaner” do your teeth feel after using a rechargeable electric toothbrush compared to a manual? Did the differences in chicken feed result in a more “tender” piece of poultry? Does the new sunscreen formula absorb into your skin better? What impact does less fat have on the texture of a biscuit?
Yes, it’s complicated. But it’s what we do. And we enjoy the challenge
Recently, at Bartlesville’s home of sensory excellence, we tasted mashed potatoes. We rarely know, up front, exactly WHY we’re tasting a product. But what we deduced is that these were the kind of mashed potatoes you’d pay top dollar for in a swanky restaurant where they use real tablecloths! Imagine our surprise when we finally discovered that these delicious spuds can be purchased (already prepared) in a refrigerated container from your favorite grocery store! Wow, why would anyone peel, cook, smash and CLEAN UP after another potato again?
