Personal Care and Consumer Product Testing
Testing and Evaluating a Wide Array of Products
We tell folks “if you see it on a shelf in a store, someone has tested it by wearing it, sniffing it, measuring how it feels or by any number of sensory test methods.” It boggles the mind when you really think about what we do. Panelists exercise in hot rooms to test sports lotions, wash and assess hair (still attached to a “hired” head), brush with toothpastes to measure how long the flavor lasts for that “fresh breath” feel and more.
As an example…
You might want to make a claim “Our antacid dissolves faster that the competition.” Been there and done that! Our panelists tested the client’s antacid tablets and all the others brand leaders and the data demonstrated that the client’s antacid dissolved significantly (and meaningfully) faster that the other samples.
You might need to see how several prototypes of baby wipes compare to brand and private label leaders. Our trained panelists measure attributes that include softness, thickness, roughness, and fullness. Then they wipe their arm with the wipe and measure more attributes that might include wetness, moistness, residue, and stickiness. Then you get the “fingerprints” and data tables with an interpretation of the findings and how the products compare.
SkinSensoryTM Analysis
Our panelists are trained and experienced in conducting objective tests that capture the singular characteristics of products. Every wet wipe, shampoo, mascara, or toothbrush has unique set of features varying magnitude. The resulting data provides a means of measuring the impact of changes in manufacturing, formulation, storage or bench marking against competitors.

The Next Step
Now that we've learned what you need tested, we're ready to ask the next question: "What do you need to know?" Or, what is your "test objective?"
